1996 Chevrolet Camaro . Condition is Used. Your looking at a JVR Hurricane Camaro. 4 time IMSA world champion racer, Joe Vardi, built 4 such cars. This is the only known survivor and the only one with a 395 ci motor . The other 3 were 383 ci. When built it was featured in Car and Driver mag. I have an autographed copy of it from Joe Vardi. Price as tested in 1996 was 51K, over double the sticker price. It was 450 rwh then and has been refreshed to 540 now. There also is a NOS system on it which is supposed to make it 660hp. I never put a tank on it to try as it's tire smoking 540 hp is plenty! Full road race suspension , 6 speed Tremac trans, 4;10 rear end. Not a daily driver! Car shows well for it's age with a few chips, worn drivers seat and a small crack in the dash. I am the second owner of this Florida car. One of a kind collector car that turns heads with it's looks and sound. look on you tube for video to hear it. |
