Ashburn, Georgia mileage 143,600 Asking price $6,500 Very rare 1997 true 30th Anniversary Super Sport Camaro. I am the third owner of this car. The first owner bought it new and only had it for a short period of time. My uncle then purchased it and kept it for several years. I bought it from him in 2010 and have had it since. I love this car and have never seen another SS like it in person all the time I’ve owned it. I’ve seen plenty of Z28s with the stripe kit, but a true 97 SS is quite rare. We are downsizing, and I’ve went back and forth on selling this for over a year, but finally decided to do it. This was never a trailer queen. It was driven and enjoyed, and therefore not perfect. I’d love to see this go to a collector who could put a little more money into it and return it to show quality. I’ve done my best to outline everything right and wrong with the car, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Pros: One of only 957 30th Anniversary SS Camaros produced One of only 156 30th Anniversary SS Camaros produced in this configuration (LT1, auto, T-top) Rust free car (my uncle had it professionally Ziebarted and has never seen weather since) Runs and drives well Always garage-kept Original engine and transmission, never rebuilt. 143k miles Leather interior with houndstooth cloth inserts New paint job - OEM Arctic White, also comes with new vinyl stripe replacements (new owner will need to have them put on car). The original clear coat had begun chipping and the stripes were pitted and faded, so I decided to have it freshened up with new paint and stripes. The first pic in the gallery is before it was painted so you have a reference. The rest are after the paint job. All door jamb stickers still present and also pictured. I have other pictures before it was painted upon request. Brand new battery I have a packet of paperwork and various SS/SLP paraphernalia that will come with the car (original window sticker, service records, a magazine or two, etc) Cons: Driver’s seat has tear in leather (pictured) Front bumper has a small chip missing (pictured) At one point I thought it had an oil leak, but it doesn’t appear to be leaking now. Bad sensor for windshield washer fluid level (says empty even when full) Check-engine light is on (I assume it’s due to the sensor mentioned above, but it has not been checked) Needs tires CD player does not function (radio still works) |
