THIS VEHICLE IS BRAND NEW! IT HAS ONLY 30 MILES ON THE ODOMETER!
THIS CAR IS A SPECIAL EDITION COMMEMORATIVE VEHICLE AND 2002 JUST HAPPENS TO BE THE LAST YEAR THIS GENERATION OF CAMARO WAS PRODUCED. NO CAMAROS WERE PRODUCED BY GENERAL MOTORS AGAIN UNTIL 2010. THERE WERE ONLY 609 6-SPEED CONVERTIBLES AND 1,037 6-SPEED T-TOP COUPE VERSIONS OF THE 35TH ANNIVERSARY CARS MADE. THE T-TOP COUPE LISTED HERE IS PART OF A PAIR OF 35TH ANNIVERSARY CAMAROS THAT I OWN; BOTH OF THEM ARE 6-SPEED CARS. THE OTHER ONE IS A CONVERTIBLE AND IT ONLY HAS 42 MILES. THIS ONE IS BEING LISTED FOR SALE BY ITSELF BUT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BOTH OF THEM AS A PAIR, PLEASE CONTACT ME.
CAMARO HISTORY: The final fourth-generation Camaro was built on August 27, 2002. Total production for 2002 was 42,098. The Boisbriand plant, the only GM plant in Canada outside of Ontario, then closed down. Today, these 35th Anniversary cars are quickly being snatched up by collectors due to their last-year status and low 3,369 total-count production numbers. Of this number, 3,000 cars were shipped to the United States and 369 units were kept in Canada. The 35th Anniversary Edition (Z4C) was available on the SS coupes and convertibles. All had Bright Red exterior and ebony leather interior with medium gray leather seat inserts. Front headrests had 35th Anniversary embroidery. Coupes required T-tops; convertibles had black soft tops. All had dual stripes which faded solid silver into a checkered flag over the hood and onto the rear deck lid. Black SS wheels had machine-faced bright surfaces. Specific front grille and rear between-tail lamp panel had bright CAMARO lettering. Coupes had rear "trophy" display mats, and red roof band, except for non-Z4C cars.
Acquiring one of these commemorative Camaros was actually a two-step process. Prior to plunking down an additional $2,500 for the Z4C option, you had to first pony up an extra $3,625 to add the WU8 SS Performance/Appearance Package to either the basic Z28 coupe, which opened at $22,830, or convertible, which started at $29,590. While not cheap, that preliminary kit did raise the excitement by a considerable margin. For openers, it added an SLP-spec version of the Z28's 5.7-liter LS1 V-8. Bolstered by a forced-air induction system and a free-flowing dual-exhaust system, this LS1 makes 325 horsepower before the SLP modifications—15 more ponies than the standard-issue engine. According to all of the car magazines, this is one fast Camaro. Expect a top speed up near 160 mph.
OPTIONS: THIS CAR WAS SENT FROM THE GM FACTORY TO THE GM AUTHORIZED SLP ENGINEERING FACTORY WHERE ALL AVAILABLE SLP OPTIONS WERE ADDED. THESE OPTIONS INCLUDED THE SLP 345 HORSEPOWER AIR INTAKE AND SPECIAL CENTER EXHAUST PERFORMANCE PACKAGE, THE BILSTEIN ULTRA PERFORMANCE SUSPENSION SYSTEM, AUBURN HIGH TORQUE PERFORMANCE DIFFERENTIAL AND BF GOODRICH G-FORCE TA KD 17” TIRES, ALONG WITH THE DECK MAT, 35 ANNIVERSARY FLOOR MATS, COMMEMORATIVE PORTFOLIO, CUSTOM FITTED CAR COVER, TWO CAMARO SS KEY FOBS AND DASH PLAQUE; ALL OF WHICH ADDED $4,721 TO THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE CAR. ALL DOCUMENTATION FROM THE FACTORY IS INCLUDED.
MY OWNERSHIP: THIS CAR WAS PUT IN A TRAILER FROM THE SANDY SANSING CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN PENSACOLA, FLORIDA AND TRANSPORTED TO A WAREHOUSE IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA. IT WAS STORED THERE UNTIL I PURCHASED IT FROM THE ORIGNINAL BUYER WHO COULD NOT AFFORD TO LET THIS MUCH CAR SIT. I TRANSPORTED IT TO MY WAREHOUSE IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA WHERE IT HAS BEEN METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED EVER SINCE. THIS CAR IS JUST LIKE IT WAS WHEN IT ROLLED OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE; IT HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN ON THE STREET. IT HAS BEEN DRIVEN AROUND THE WAREHOUSE A COUPLE OF TIMES OVER THE PAST 8 YEARS TO CIRCULATE THE FLUIDS. OTHER THAN THAT, IT HAS BEEN STARTED REGULARLY, KEPT CLEAN, DRY AND COVERED. IT HAS ALSO BEEN SERVICED SEVERAL TIMES WITH ALL FLUIDS CHANGED AND STA-BIL ADDED TO THE GAS. THE STOCK NUMBER OF THIS CAR IS 20238 AND THE ORIGINAL FACTORY STOCK NUMBER STICKER IS STILL ON THE WINDSHIELD. COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER ALONG WITH THE GM CONSUMER INFORMATION STICKER AND THE DEALER INSTALLED OPTIONS STICKER CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURES, STILL IN THE WINDOW. THE ORIGINAL UNSEALED SLP ACCESSORY BOX CAN STILL BE SEEN SITTING IN THE BACK OF THE CAR AND THE T-TOP COVERS ARE IN THE TRUNK. YOU CAN SEE THE STOCK NUMBER ON THE BOX. THE DEALER’S FINAL PRICE ON THIS VEHICLE WAS $40,486.00. A BUYERS PREMIUN OF $2,000.00 WAS ADDED TO THE MSRP AND SLP OPTIONS OF THIS CAR BECAUSE OF THE VERY LIMITED PRODUCTION AND AVAILABLILTY OF THE CAR. IT SHOWS ON THE DEALER STICKER. |
