This Limited Edition SS version was produced by Chevrolet to commemorate the last year of the Camaro F-Body style (1967 through 2002). This specific car was produced with the rare 1LE high performance suspension package. In addition, it has the optional SLP high performance dual-dual exhaust and cold air induction systems. Only 3000 Limited Edition SS Camaros were produced for the U.S. in 2002 Only 58 of the 3000 were produced with a 1LE suspension package This 2002 Camaro SS Limited Edition is immaculate and in mint showroom condition. It has never been wrecked or damaged. It is tight and solid with a frame that has been further strengthened with BMR subframe connectors. The 1LE suspension provides for superior handling and sets this car apart from other street performance suspensions. The 1LE Koni shocks are designed with controls to easily adjust the firmness of the ride from soft to firm. The vehicle was originally ordered and purchased by a father and son team of car collectors from Huffines Chevrolet in Lewisville, TX. It was purchased with the specific intent to preserve as a collector. As such it has lived in a climate-controlled warehouse with other collector cars in Lewisville. In addition, a large amount of documentation exists on this vehicle to define and authenticate its collectible status. The father and son maintained this vehicle in a way to preserve its new condition and to ensure the power train was consistently lubricated and conditioned. A separate set of Limited Edition wheels (still in the original shipping containers) was purchased with this car to enhance its value as a collector. The condition of this car speaks for itself. It is a beautiful vehicle with an immaculate interior, exterior, undercarriage, and engine compartment. It runs flawlessly and is extremely sound mechanically. Preventative Maintenance Sustained on this 2002 Camaro SS Limited Edition This car has been covered and stored in a climate-controlled warehouse with other collector cars since day one of its original purchase. It has been driven sparingly over the years to condition and maintain lubrication in the engine and drivetrain. Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil has been used with semi-annual oil changes. Redline high performance synthetic lubricants have been used in the transmission and rear-end which were last serviced in December 2008. The original tires were replaced in 2008 with a new set of P275/40ZR17 Yokohama High Performance Tires. The car has been completely detailed at least once a year using high quality Meguiars products.
