Car Notes |
2009.01.11 Ebay
Nashville, TN, United States
Up for sale is my 1997 Trans-am... I have owned this car for a little over a year, and is my fourth f-body...The whole driveline has less than 10,000 miles on it... only the body has 106,000... I have taken very good care of this car.. Done a little monir work (ASE cert tech),as well as all the maintence, and kept everything clean and smoke free... The outside is immaculate except for a very small crack in the drivers side front fender, which is a f-body thing..The stripes i had put on professionally they are 3M... The interior is all there except for a shifter boot and the back seats(cause of the cage).. The steering wheel is a grant removable. with hook on the cage..The engine is out of a 96 Corvette Grand sport..Which is a GM OEM REAL LT-4.. (The Intake and heads alone are worth almost 4 grand).. Before it was put in this car is was rebuilt to a 355ci with TRW pistons, and a comp cam 306, with full comp top end including guideplates... Also all ARP bolts were used... The heads were ported and polished to match the intake... Air goes in by a TWIN 58mm Arizona Speed And Machine billet throttle body... And the exhaust exits through Jet hot longtubes and through a custom X-pipe exhaust and dynomax bullet mufflers, that dumps right before the rear axle...The car sounds amazing, seriousally one of the best sounding f-bodys I have ever heard.. Msd 6 is also installed inside the glove box. With MSD super conductor wires running off a Brand new opti-spark... The water pump is a Meziere electric 155gph.. Fuel system is a racetronix pump in the tank, a Holley fuel press. regulator, and Ford SVO 30lb injectors... The rear end is a stock 10bolt with richmond 4.10 gears and a T/A cover... The transmission is a freshly re-built T5-6, with a spec 4 clutch and Lightweight flywheel... The car revs like a Nascar and almost sounds like one just not near as loud... Its very snappy and precise and has a powerband you don't want to come out of... Edelbrock drag springs, and an 8 point-roll cage load and stiff up the chassis. Brakes are SSBC rotors all the way around and hawk pads,, The wheels are the American Racing torque thrust, they have brand new 275's up front and 315's in the rear...The car drives amazing.. Ac works and blows cold, and so does the heat... Windows go up and down, t-tops are in great shape, and the leather has zero cracks... Carpet has zero stains, and never seen smoke... This car is a very fast car that will hang with alot of bikes.. put on a small nitrous kit and a Brand new Zo6 won't keep up... Since I have had this car I have respected it and never raced it... Other than the occasional leaving a few SVT's dead in their tracks at the stop light and only pulling through 2nd, when they pulled up to you reving.. Its for sure a head turner, could even be a show car... I also have a full history report on the car and photos of the build and engine, and most of the reciepts.. Car needs o2 simulators to turn the service engine soon light off. We don't have emmissiions here in Tennessee so i never bought them.. The rear ened also needs a bearing, makes a whining noise over 35mph.. still drives fine...This car is one of a kind |
