Car Notes |
2007.10.25 Ebay
Lima, ny, United States
Here it is. This is an excepitonally well taken care of 1998 Camaro SS. I have owned this car now for the past three and a half years. I bought my car from a dealership whose owner i have known for years, and trust. I bought the car with 40,000 miles on the odometer and have only put 10,000 on it since!! When the winter snow melts away my wife says "Oh great here comes your other wife" And for the most part she is right!! Not really. The car has been washed and waxed almost EVERY time it comes out of the garage, complete with tire treatment and wheel polishing. This SS has never been in snow and I can only think of a couple of times getting caught out in the rain. Honestly who hasn't been caught in the rain, I love those ads "NEVER BEEN IN THE RAIN". The car has many SLP options to include the dash plaque, floor mats, wheel centers, fan cut-out switch, and strut tower brace. Not to mention the handling package and appearance package. This car also has many modifications. They were professionally done, not hacked up in my garage. The car has had the heads ported and polished and a valve job done on them. They are outfitted with Manley valves. The cam is an SLP hot cam that makes the car "lope" a little, but not real rough like most drag cars. I had the stock manifolds taken off in favor of ceramic coated longtube headers and followed them up with an off-road Y pipe that flow into a 40 series flowmaster dual exhaust. Combined with the heads and cam this car sounds awesome!! I didn't stop there. I put on an LS6 intake, a Granatelli mass air filter, and an LS1 Motorsports lid to let the car breathe even easier. I then turned my attention to the drivetrain. I put in a Trans-go shift kit, a B&M Tranny cooler, a high capacity transmission pan, a TCI Streetfighter stall converter, swapped out the stock gears for 3.73's, and finished up with a Eaton posi-unit in the rear end. The car is sexy as hell now but I wanted more so I put an RK Sport ground effects kit on the car, swapped out the stock grey wheels for chrome 17 inch ZR1's. The front grille was swapped out for an SLP grille. The pictures speak for themselves. The interior is the charcoal leather, but here again I wanted it to be unique so I had the headrests embroidered with matching "SS" logos. There is a two gauge A-pillar pod with an Air/Fuel gauge, and a tranny temp gauge. The stock gauge cluster was swapped out for white face gauges. The windows were tinted to complete the package. The only thing that I still wanted to do was to change the cd player to an MP3 player, but I would rather listen to the engine than the radio!! I forgot the car has a 160 degree thermostat from SLP. The car was taken to Kennedy's Dynotune in Niagara Falls to get the PCM tuned for all of the modifications. The car 418 HP on the dyno!! Not bad for an automatic! If the buy it now option is used the car will come with the LS6 Intake and Granatelli MAF, if not the stock intake and MAF will be put back on. These parts resale too high to not put them in a separate auction. Make no mistake this car has been my passion for the past three and a half years. Anyone that knows muscle cars knows the amount of money I have spent on this car. I will accept offers on this car, but lets keep it real. If you live near Lima, NY 14485 you can call me to come look at the car. This car is for sale locally so don't wait till the end of the auction to bid. I reserve the right to end this auction early, the car is for sale locally. I would rather sell it early. The car is used so I am selling it as is, where is. Give me a call at 585-261-XXXX if you have any questions. I still can't believe I am doing this. Thanks. |
