Car Notes |
2007.09.09 ebay
Glidden, WI
This is a sweet custom 97 Trans Am WS6 LT1, 6 speed manual, with t-tops and leather interior. It is fast and gorgeous. The front lower lip spoiler was custom-made to fit this car and I have NEVER seen another firebird or T/A with one on it!! The car has over 400hp to the wheels, and it is running a little rich so with a good dyno tune it would probably put down 450hp to the wheels. This car really pins you to the seat with ease. Car has a 383 stroker with about 19K miles on it and ported heads, cam'd, headers, among other things, read below for the specifics.
383 ci engine built by Carolina Auto Masters (about 18k to 19k miles ago)(http://www.carolinaautomasters.com/), at 11:1 compression.
speedpro pistons, Eagle cast crank, Speedpro rings.

OBDI conversion with custom tuning by PCM4less.com (I will include the original OBDII computer with the car).
I replaced the a/c compressor about a year and a half ago right before I quit driving it. A/C Still blows cold.
Spec Clutch stage 2plus (carbon-kevlar material), lightened to reduce rotating mass. Nice grabby clutch, but very streetable. No chatter.
160 degree thermostat
Heads are ported stock castings. (I had them pressure tested by a third party when I had the stroker built). Flow numbers (28"H2O) are:
lift int exh
100 76 68
200 132 112
300 188 138
400 236 166
500 264 188
550 274 196
600 280 204
6-speed w/Hurst Shifter with a short-throw shift stick.
Edelbrock weld-in subframe connectors
Edelbrock 3-point strut tower brace (not currently installed, will include)
ceramic brake pads with only a few hundred miles on them.
Audio: Car has a pioneer CD head unit, one 10" Rockford Fosgate Sub and fosgate amps. Looks good and sounds really nice. |
