Sunnyvale, CA, United States The hottest of GM�s F-cars is the Firehawk Trans Am. With the super SLP LS1 5.7L engine, a 6-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter, and the optional Bilstein suspension package, it doesn�t get any better than this. It is basically a Corvette with a rear seat. The car has under 45000 miles, has always been a California car, and is adult owned. Everything on this car works perfectly. I am only selling it because I am building a house and need a truck. This car is a maximum-optioned Firehawk. A Firehawk is a limited production performance package on top of the Trans Am option which itself is the top Firebird performance model. The base Firehawk package includes a composite cold-air hood, 17� x 9� aluminum wheels, P275/40ZR17 Firehawk tires, performance exhaust system, upgraded suspension components. In addition, it has the Firehawk options of chrome wheels, performance lubricants, Bilstein suspension, and Auburn high torque performance differential (i.e. everything). I have the original window stickers. These limited-production Firehawk vehicles typically sold when new for over $40,000 and are worth every penny. They sound right, look right, and handle right. The all-aluminum LS1 engine has 327 hp and if that isn�t enough for you, there is literally a whole industry of aftermarket parts and tuners who specialize in GM LS engines. I�ve had a 1969 Z28 Camaro and without question the Firehawk is a superior car. Better acceleration, better braking, better handling, better gas mileage, better drivability, better seats, and a better stereo (with GM 12 CD changer). The car has only two cosmetic flaws: a crack in the driver�s door panel (a typical Firebird �feature�), and a �� scratch on the passenger door (covered with GM touch-up paint). |
